John Muir Weekly November 21

Dear Families,

Thank you to our school community for your patience and flexibility during our recent power outage on Wednesday. We appreciate your understanding and hope that the windstorm didn’t cause too much inconvenience for your families. Your resilience and cooperation are invaluable to us as we work to keep everyone safe and supported.

We are looking forward to seeing families this afternoon/evening at our Celebration of Learning. Classrooms will be open from 12pm -1pm, 2pm – 4pm, and 5pm – 6pm.

Due to the power outage yesterday, we are extending our book fair by one day. The book fair will be open on Monday from 8:00am – 8:30am and 2:30pm-3:00pm. Thanks to the John Muir staff for making this possible.

Due to the power outage, we will be rescheduling our photo retake day. A date has not yet been set, but we will keep you posted.

Our Winter Concert will be happening on December 12. We have two performance times: 1pm and 6pm.Below are the two links for families to secure tickets. Each division will be performing at the concert. Please note that tickets are currently limited to two per family. On December 2, we will open it up to first come, first serve to order more tickets, if there are any remaining.

November 19, 20, 21 – Book Fair

November 21 – Early dismissal (11:33) and Celebration of Learning

November 22 – Professional Development Day – No school

December 6 – First Term reports will be available to families in MyEd

November 26th – Popcorn (rescheduled due to power outage last week) (can be purchased day of $1)
November 28th – Hara Sushi (Due November 20th)
December 12th – Chompkins (Due December 4th)
December 19th – Popcorn (can be purchased day of $1)

Spirit Wear – ONE WEEK LEFT!!! John Muir Jaguar clothing is available now to order(available in youth and adult sizes). Orders placed before Nov 29th are planned to come before Winter holiday! Another clothing buy could happen later in the year with enough interest!

Purdy’s – Catalogues went home last week. Paper orders due Nov 29th, Online orders are due Dec 2nd.
Online ordering is available by following the steps below and is open for ordering until December 2nd at 11:59pm
