Friday Newsletter – November 28

Dear Families,
It was wonderful to see so many families join us for our Celebration of Learning! Your presence highlights the important role parents and guardians play as partners in their child’s educational journey. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers for the time, effort, and creativity they put into preparing meaningful and engaging experiences in their classrooms. Together, we create a supportive community that fosters growth, curiosity, and a love for learning. We truly value your engagement and look forward to continuing this partnership to help every student reach their full potential. Thank you for being an integral part of our school community.

Winter Concert
Join us for a joyful holiday concert filled with festive songs, bright smiles, and seasonal cheer! Our talented students will take the stage to share a heartwarming selection of music celebrating the spirit of the holidays. Families are invited to come together for an afternoon of community, and unforgettable performances that showcase the creativity and enthusiasm of our young performers. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
There are two tickets available per family. Thank you for honoring this limit. We look forward to seeing everyone on December 17th!

Winter Food Drive
Dear Families,
We are excited to share that Ms. Cook and Mr. Pepin’s Grade 4/5 classes will be running a Food Drive to support the Sooke Food Bank! Our students are learning about community responsibility, empathy, and taking action, and they are eager to make a positive impact.
Starting Friday, November 28th, we will be collecting:
  • Non-perishable food items
  • Household supplies
  • Pet food
If your family is able and willing to contribute, please send any donations to school with your child. Our Grade 4/5 students will have clearly labeled collection boxes ready to receive items. Please see the attachment of specific items the Sooke Food Bank is requesting.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us:
  • Ashlie Cook: ancook@sd62.bc.ca
  • Paul Pepin: ppepin@sd62.bc.ca
Thank you for supporting our community and helping our students make a meaningful difference.
Warmly,
Ms. Cook & Mr. Pepin
