Friday Newsletter – February 20, 2026
Dear Families,
We are so excited to announce that our school is hosting a NA’TSA’MAHT dinner for our community on March 5th from 5:00pm-7:30pm. All families are welcome to join. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and at the same time highlight all the wonderful things that we do at John Muir. The T’Souke Nation will be preparing a delicious menu that includes a seafood chowder or vegetarian soup. If you would like to join in on this evening, you must register for this event. Please see attachment for the QR code to register as well as additional information about the evening. We look forward to welcoming you to this event!

Pink Shirt Day
On Wednesday, February 25, our students and staff will be participating in Pink Shirt Day; a day that reminds us of the importance of kindness, empathy and inclusion in our school community. By wearing pink, we show our commitment to create a safe and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
Staying Home When Ill
If your child is feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you keep them at home until their symptoms subside. When students come to school sick, illnesses can spread quickly to classmates and staff, impacting learning and overall well-being. Keeping children home when they have symptoms such as fever, persistent cough, vomiting, or general unwellness helps protect everyone in our school community. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our classrooms healthy and safe for all students.
