Dear Families,

As we approach June, the excitement of the end of the school year is in the air. It’s a special time when students have the opportunity to showcase all they’ve learned and accomplished. Classrooms are filled with energy and pride as learning comes to life through final projects, reflections, and celebrations. End-of-year activities add to the joy, creating lasting memories and a strong sense of community before we head into summer.

As we approach the final stretch of the school year, we want to thank you for your continued support and partnership. It’s been a wonderful journey watching our students grow, learn and achieve so much together. With 4 weeks left in the school year, we kindly ask for your help in encouraging consistent attendance and timely arrivals each day. These last weeks are so important, not only for wrapping up academic progress, but also for celebrating accomplishments, participating in meaningful activities, and preparing for a strong start next year.

We’re excited to share that the Milnes Landing Schools will be holding a Rainbow Parade on Wednesday, June 10th. We will all assemble at Poirier Elementary School and parade to Journey Middle School. We will gather at Journey for a short celebration and end with singing of ‘True Colors’ together.

Library book bags: our PAC purchased a book bag for each student to help keep books clean and safe. We are hoping to reuse as many as possible next year, so please send those back along with your child’s library books. Thank-you to our PAC for providing these!

Wednesday, June 10 – Rainbow Parade

Friday, June 12 – Parent Appreciation/Fun Day

Thursday, June 18 – Beach Day

 

June 11 – Chester’s Chicken – Orders due May 27 (Please note that I have changed the Chester’s Chicken from June 4 to June 11. If this does not work for you please email me for a refund.)

 

June 17 – Pizza – Sooke 2 for 1 – Orders due June 10 (Please note I have changed the Pizza Day from June 18 to June 17. If this does not work for you please email me for a refund)
