On May 8, John Muir is hosting a read and ride event for students who are entering Kindergarten in September 2026. This is a great opportunity for incoming Kindergarten students to be introduced to their new school, meet one of our Kindergarten teachers, take a ride on a school bus, and receive a book. Children who turn 5 by December 31, 2026 are eligible to begin school in September 2026. Regular Kindergarten registration is from January 26-30. Registration is done online. Please connect with the office at 250-642-5427 if you have any questions.

Late French Immersion – For Students Entering Middle School in Sept. 2026

Late French Immersion is a program where students enter in Grade 6 and learn to become fluent in French. By Grade 8, they are at the same fluency level as Early French Immersion students (who enter the program in Kindergarten or Grade 1). If you have a child entering Grade 6 in September 2026 and is interested in joining the French Immersion program, there is an information session at Journey Middle School on January 22nd at 6:30pm.
